What are the duties of a wedding planner?

A wedding planner, also known as wedding coordinator or bridal consultant, assists brides in all aspects of planning their weddings. We provide advice and assistance with acquiring vendors, venues and assist with the selection of, but not limited to attire, invitations, decorations, music, food, and all other aspects of the wedding.

How long has Sheavonne Events and Wedding been in the wedding business?

We are blessed to have been working in the wedding business since 2003.

Do brides pay for the first consultation?

The first consultation is free.

Do you only service Manhattan?

No, we service the five boroughs in addition to Long Island, Westchester, Upstate NY and Northern New Jersey.

Are couples required to hire preferred vendors?

Absolutely not! Although we are affiliated with some of the industries amazing vendors, we understand they may not always fit your taste and your budget. We are more than happy to work with vendors that you select or do the leg work to acquire a vendor of your liking.

Do you offer packages?

Yes, we have packages that meet almost every level of the planning stages. Even better we can tailor any package to your needs and budget.

Do you charge a percentage of the wedding cost?

Absolutely not!  After your complimentary bridal consultation with our head planner brides are given a rate based on the services they require.

What payment options do you offer?

Brides are required to make a 25% deposit to reserve their chosen services. The brides has the option of setting up a payment plan for the remaining balance of their contract.

How many members of the event staff will be on hand the day of the wedding?

Normally the “day of” event staff will include one head planner and two assistants, however if more assistance is need addition staff members will be added at no extra charge.

When should a bride hire a planner/coordinator?

As soon as you realize you need or want to bring someone on board for assistance.
